The project
The client — a small architecture team — asked for a studio that works like a workshop. Every surface can be pinned, stacked on or written on, and the best light goes to the shared table, not to private desks.
A single walnut table seats the whole team and doubles as the presentation table for clients. Personal desks sit along the window wall at standing height.
The back wall is a floor-to-ceiling material library in white shelving, so samples are always in reach during a conversation.
Polished concrete floors and exposed columns were kept from the warehouse; new elements are timber and linen to soften the acoustics.
